He was the summer bloom
However parched the earth would get
He would bud
Delighting her
Amid her worn out garden
The lavender bloom
Just one bloom
Would make her smile
But then
He stopped blooming
Said it is too hot
Cant do it anylonger
She, for her part
Caressed it
And coaxed it
With tears spilling
Over to the lavender
He said
That's not enough
I need rains
And drenched she did
With her heart
Only to see
The lavender bud again
