 Can I take back

All tha pain

All the hurt

All the misery

That raked havock

In the corridors

Bright and cheerful

It ought to be

Why then it turned dark inside

And reeked

Of pain

Of hurt

Of misery

I ought to take it all back

Consuming me inside

Like a giant wave

Scared am I

Of the water

Where I drowned last

Oh please!

Who will take it back

The pain

The hurt

The misery

My heart is wailing

Screaming

The pain, hurt, misery

Swallowing me

Oh please take it away

Calm and still I seek

Will the shelter happen

Not the dark and pale

But bright and lovely

With just the two?!

The dread of the night has won

Casting its gloom on my soul

I now blow the candle

Darkness is all I am left with

Barely holding on

To the life

I lay still

Hoping to just float away

Into sheer darkness

Staring at the window
Anxious she sits
Hoping she would get to see him
The clock ticks by
He comes not
For he is by some other windowside
Where the temptaton lay

Why would he reach out
To a star that is fading
A flower that is withering
A wick that is flickering
A soul that is boring

Oh! The new window
Full of joy
Hope
Temptations
New aspirations
Fresh beginnings
New him
New her

Shuts she down
Her eyes
Still by the windowside
Dried teardrops
Marking her tired face
Some on the forearm
Where she lays her head

He will come not
She knows
For somewhere by a new window
A new chapter has begun!

Gloom however it may
As a storm awaits
Shattering the still of the night
Robbing the peace

"Worry not"
Says a voice
"For we are together"

"Gloom however it may
Snatch it will not
The bliss that exists
For many lives to come"

And then it happened
The thunder. The rumble
Shaking the earth to its core

But could defy not the duo
Who sought refuge
In arms of one another

"Faith, hope, belief"
They whispered love
To each other

Anger of the storm
They could hear not
The gusty wind
Just ruffled their hair

Their hearts throbbing
Loud as ever
Beating for each other
Is all that mattered

And then everything turned quiet
Eerie and cold
Just as the sun peeped

They hadn't realised
They had fallen asleep
In each other's embrace
Even as the storm passed by

You are all that i have
Anchored to you
For this life and more
As deep as the heart of the ocean
Lies my love and longing for you

Time may pass
Tides may change
But it would still be
Like the first cell
That took shape in those depths
And survived it all

Times may fly
Seasons may change
But it would still be
Like the birdsong
That you hear besides your window
No matter what, it would still echo
And immerse you in all

In this life and more
