Lashing at my feet
The sea came to me

Embracing my soul
Washed the sand ashore

Crawling between my toes
The starfish winked

Came a wave

Splashed on my face

Took it all away
The sand, the water and the starfish

Left behind was a pebble
Red, heart-shaped

I looked at the horizon
Saw nothing
Just the sky

But the waves crashed again
Against the shores

Said the sea to me
“I love you”

“The heart is for you
Keep it
Love will happen
Just as the pebble happened”

unrestrained laughter they say
makes you look crazy
but to me
it means i am enjoying that moment
