A pen and a pencil
My only solace
When you look
The other way
Hope i do justice
At least to them
Unlike the love
That i couldnt be

i dont know
if that is true
but i have actually started
to smell like you
how else does your tee
still smell the same
after each wash
oh my! how glad i am
that i DO smell like you

...after all that
She realised
She was simply
Undeserving
Of anything good
Of him
Of love

A tiny dot
On their wirsts
They would imprint
Each day
It became a norm
And they grew used to it
Then suddenly
One day
He erased the spot
With a cigarette butt
She knew not
The spot was gone
What was her's once
She loved and lost
Several times
Each one left behind its mark
Their very own
She had scratches of a cat bird dog on her
But his mark was the deepest
On her soul he had marked himself
Yet he was gone

She scrubbed herself
Real hard

To get rid of the bruises the blows
To wipe the face clean
To freshen up and glow

The harder she tried
She realised
They were there to stay

For all that was left of her
Was her tired beaten and rusted body
That lay lifeless before her soul

All that glittered
Was a gift by the fairy
She lived in her fantacy
Until it stuck 12
Vanished she into
The darkness
where she belonged
To the cold wet earth
Her feet curled
The glass slippers were never hers
She told herself
Before crying off to sleep
She had come off her reins
To him
Sprinting together
They crossed miles
Tired they never felt
And yet
She just drops dead

She was too worn out
Her soul tells him
Now it would finish the run
And asks him to fear none

Aghast as he may seem
He carries his lady in his arms
Her soul sprinting by his side
Says her journey is over
From here on only i, the soul would run

Cheering herself
She decides upon a tattoo
Yet another
That would put life back into her

Believe
Strength
Anchor
Freedom
Already etched on her tanned body

She knows they would
stick around her tired soul

But then she realises
There is no space left on her

Staring at the blank walls of her room
Scribbles the new one
Some calligraphic design
Representing love

The love
That could never be hers

The tattoo, now a wall art
Remains
Until the paint chips off
Long after she is gone hoping someday it would be her's

Between his yes and no All that as left of her Was her parched tired soul The bud that he checked for if she doe or if she does not Lay on the dusty track Withered Countless times he ripped to see if it would still feel the pain Robbed of the branch That tended to her She gazed blankly Felt the dust Silently dying

She stands by the window side Hoping to see him Eyes still wet from last night And yet, he says WHY She leaps with joy Hoping to hear him say That she is all that he wants And yet, he says WHY She gets a whiff of the perfume he wears Smells through his clothes That she hasnt washed ever since he left them And yet, he says WHY She moans at the songs that narrate their love Croons them over and over Wipe away tears from her eyes And yet, he says WHY She crosses the path Where they would swear by their love everyday Smile as she briefly relives those moments And all he says is WHY He is clueless she thinks But no, he means it He turns back and says "Do not pretend" And walks off.
Between the "she loves me, she loves me not", She got lost where she belonged once
Into the oblivion
Where she knew the soul was alone
The only time she loved,
Truly baring her soul,
Came the words "You love me not!"
Barefoot with a tired soul
She went back to her darkness
Never to return
And never to love
 Love does not come easy
She knew
And she had it and felt it slip through
Now empty
She took the path
Of no return
Where she could rest her tired soul
And just be
