It knocked on my door
Forced it close
Bolting from inside
I said No

It said come for a ride
Will vanish in the clouds
Stretching on the couch
I said No

It peeped through the window
I stopped it there
Drawing the blinds
I said No

Crawling in my dreams
It begged me to float
Rubbed my eyes
I said No

Resisting death
All the while
I said Yes to life
I still have time
To bid goodbye

I read about rains
The water from the skies
And how it felt
When it touched the souls

Then one day
It dropped on my eyelid
I wondered who cried

Then came another drop
A big fat drop
From the skies

I looked up
To see the dark clouds
Hovering by

The angel
With her overflowing bucket
Had opened the tap

Winked at me
Said I may cry

Just look up
Let tears roll
As I pour

A trickle
Down the chin
Melted with the rain
Released the pain
That lay trapped
In my soul

Making me feel better
She said
May I bring on the sun
To dry the mess
And shine on your soul

I said
Yes yes yes

My eyes
Sparkled in love
As your’s held promise

My feet
Danced to a rythm
As your’s entwined mine

My heart
Raced unleashed
As your’s beat against mine

Two worlds
Became one
As we swore togetherness

Why then
I stand alone

With melted hopes
As darkness gropes

Can’t restrain
Slithering joy
However much I try
Slipping through my fingers
That once held your’s five

Strewn promises
Shattered mirages
One trapped soul

Can I just disappear
In thin air
Will dance alone
With the clouds
To make it rain
One last time
To let go off my pain

Liberating my heart
Of your love
Of the pain
That tore me apart

Running to you
Snugging in your arms
Hearts beating out loud
We would celebrate life

Staring at the ceiling
Feets entangled
Laughing at nothingness
We would celebrate life

Spirits soaring high
The crazy world zooming by
Dawn to dusk
We would celebrate life

Rolling all over
Tripping on each other
Clinking glasses
We would celebrate life

Spilling potions
Getting naughty
Tugging each other
We would celebrate life

Life
That could have been
With me by your side
