She screamed
In silence
And no one heard

She bled
When gouged
And no one cared

She withered
And was left to die
And no one saw

Somehow...
He did

From a distance
He saw it happen
And then walked by
Asked if she were “okay”

Spilled the pain
From within her depths
She let out a cry
So deafening
Blurring everything

Although incoherent
He knew what she meant

He understood
For he always did
Within the depths of his heart
He had loved

He had seen her
With the bruised heart
Had cried then
For he too felt the pain
Cringed
When she did
For silently he had loved

Ripping from the closet
Rushed out his confession
That day when she gave it all up
“I have always loved you”
Said he to her

His love that dwelt in silence
Became the healer

To nurture and nourish
The love that was always his

No more tears
Will you shed
He swore enveloping her

Basking in the love
Hitherto unknown

The love she thought never was
Was right besides her

Feeling blessed
Letting go off her pain
She closed her eyes
To live the new dream
That the two of them will now dream
